After winning five Filmfare awards across fifteen categories in 2001, Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham [K3G] is gearing up for its sequel.
It is confirmed by none other than producer/director Karan Johar while he was speaking to a tabloid. Karan initially was opposed to the idea of making sequel to the family saga of Raichand’s but he says that it will be a bold idea if he makes it.
Mr. Bachchan wanted Karan to pull off a sequel since long time. He long back blogged this , “It would be a story on the growth of the brothers and the problems that arise because of their independent understanding and working of the business empire of the father, a split within them and so on...”
While the principle cast of the film - Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor are not averse to this idea apart from sharing a great friendship and rapo with K Jo, a sequel is set to happen in near future.
Golmaal, Dhamaal and Murder franchises success at the BO certainly cropped up Karan’s wish to make a sequel. So in all probabilities expect Raichand family to repeat their success after ten long years.
